Common IT Acronyms - what they mean and the context to understand them
The difference between an Administrator and an Engineer
The difference between Infrastructure and Software Development
What Waterfall and Agile are, and how they're different
How to "speak tech" without sounding silly
Technology trends and what's coming next
In the optional advanced session, we will cover the following topics:
How to use the web to source the right IT talent for your organization
Boolean search string basics
How to screen and interview IT professionals effectively
How to provide an exceptional candidate experience
Follow up, offer, and negotiation tactics to ensure you seal the deal!
In the optional 1:1 session*, you will have 1 hour of time to address your company and role-specific questions such as:
Review of job description(s) and posting strategy
Job-specific sourcing techniques and boolean strings
Discussion of market compensation range
Identifying talent pool availability and ways to expand the pool
Screening questions to ask
Sourcing actual candidate profiles & resumes
